Abigail Carr, BS

Abigail Carr is a psychotherapist intern who has been at Inneractions Since May 2023. She will receive her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in May 2024. Prior to graduate school, Abigail Received a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Georgia College & State University. She spent her undergrad years working with the local high schools as a mentor by building meaningful relationships with students and providing a supportive space to empower and support them as they navigated trails in and outside of the classroom.

Abigail is interested in working with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with various struggles, such as social skills, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and family issues. She utilizes many therapeutic frameworks to help each client meet their individual goals including, CBT, play therapy, person-centered, art therapy, and more. She is passionate about empowering young people to use their strengths to gain a sense of autonomy, providing tools to help them express themselves freely, and manage their lives effectively. Her goal as a therapist is to meet kids where they are and allow them to feel seen and heard.
