Shelby Walvoord, BS
Shelby Walvoord is a psychotherapist intern who graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in psychology. Since graduating, they have worked with a variety of ages from elementary to high school, with a broad range of diagnoses including ASD, ADHD, bipolar, schizophrenia, etc. Shelby enjoys creating a welcoming space for individuals of all identities, so that they can find the freedom to express themselves in a way that is affirming.
Shelby is particularly passionate about working with individuals that are exploring their identity or navigating life transitions. They utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches that are tailored to each individual client, and may include aspects of CBT, narrative, and art therapy techniques. Shelby believes that counseling should be a safe, creative space to explore each client’s unique story. They hope to walk alongside clients as they navigate the challenges of their journey.
Shelby is being supervised by S. Alexis Davis, MS, LPC, CPCS
